What Are the Benefits of Vector Graphics? Vector graphics have the greatest benefit of being able to alter their size without compromising quality. For instance, you might want to use the same image for your business card (small) and also on a marketing poster (large). The vector image you choose can be scaled down or up but still appear as clear and sharp as the original. The technical term for this is "resolution-independent." Vector graphics have the benefit of having a second largest advantage: they require very little space on your computer. Because they're made of points instead of pixels, and the computer only draws the image after you launch the image, the file size is tiny. The quality will not diminish regardless of how many times you save or modify the file.
