HSET Unit of VSPM’s Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur organized a webinar on Competency Based Dental Education (CBDE) on 9th Dec 2021 via zoom online platform. Dr.UshaRadke, Dean and Dr. SR Shenoi, Vice Dean welcomed the speaker and the participants. Dr UshaShenoy (Co-ordinator HSET Unit) emphasized that as the new education policy by Govt of India mandates incorporation of Outcome Based/ Competency based education, it was deemed necessary by the unit to sensitize the faculty regarding concept of CBDE.

Dr P. S. Manoharan, (BDS, MDS, PGDHPE), Professor and Head, Department of Prosthodontics, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry explained various concepts like skills, competencies, various domains of learning, EPAs, etc. in details. He also answered various questions posed by the participants. 32 faculty actively participated in this online webinar.
