Department of Prosthodonticscelebrated International Day of Elderly, on Friday, 1st October 2021.This year also due to pandemic situation, E-poster competition on topic “Prosthodontic Aspects For Geriatric Patients” was organised for I & II BDS under-graduate students & all interns. For post-graduate students also the topic of E-Poster was “Quality of life in geriatric patients: Various factors to consider”, where everyone created their own ideas and submitted the entries. In Post- graduate category Dr.Twinkle Hatmode, JR Dept. of Prosthodontics has received 1st prize, Dr.AnushreeBhoge, JR, Dept. of Prosthodontics has received 2nd prize. In Interns category, Ms.SayaliBelkhode&Ms.SayaleeDandekar have received 1st prize &Ms.AboliChapale has received 2nd prize.In Undergraduate Category Ms.SamruddhiOswal has received 1st Prize & Ms Sanidhi Ade has received 2nd Prize. Posted interns submitted educational flex “Oral Care Tips for The Elderly” in thedepartment museum. For non-teaching staff of the department, slogan competition was organized on topic “Jyeshth Nagrik: Kutumbacha aani Samajacha Aadhar” where wonderful response received from all. During the program, total 25 elderly patients were present. Dr. Neelam Pande, Professor has given the introductory remarks,Dr.SaeeDeshpande has elaborated the importance of this day. Dr. PritiJaiswal, Senior Lecturer delivered the Guest lecture on topic “Eat Healthy: Stay Healthy” And Dr. SamidhaPande, Senior Lecturer spoke on “Digitalization in Prosthodontics”. Their lectures were highly appreciated by all the patients. This was followed by cake cutting by the hands of patients. Refreshment was also given to all. Dr.JaishreeChahande, Dr. Rahul Tekale and all staff members worked hard for this program. Overall program was successful and appreciated by patients&by Dr.UshaRadke, Dean, HOD Dept. of Prosthodontics, VSPM’s DCRC, Nagpur.
