VSPM Dental College & Research Centre Nagpur, Observed “World No Tobacco Day” on 31st May 2022 .The Department of Public Health Dentistry (PHD) in Collaboration with Department of Oral Diagnosis, Medicine and Radiology (ODMR) conducted  following activities

• Tobacco awareness lectures regarding forms of tobacco and tobacco hazards.

The Lecture on ‘Tobacco awareness’ was delivered by DrApeksha Dhole. Prof. ODMR. ‘Oral hygiene’ tips were given by Dr.SwapnilPatil, Assistant Prof,PHD

• Free dental check up and screening of oral lesions for the company workers at Mahindra Company.Around 50 workers were screened for oral lesions out of which 21 patients were referred to VSPM DCRC for further treatment.
• “No tobacco Oath” for general public at adopted village.

No Tobacco Oath “was organized by the NSS Unit of  VSPM DCRC. “No Tobacco Oath“ was  taken by the villagers of Amgaon –Deoli  Village and they made “SANKALP” of quitting tobacco ,at the Grampanchayat of Amgaon Village .The Oath was followed bya health talk on “Tobacco Cessation.”by interns of the Institute .Around 30 villagers with Sarpanch and Panchyat samiti workers participated in the event.
