The department of Paediatric & Preventive dentistry, VSPMDCRC, Hingna, Nagpur organised a one day hands-on workshop on Preformed Zirconia crowns and Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) on 3rd March 2020 at VSPM Dental College and Research Centre.

The program was inaugurated by Dean of VSPM DCRC, Dr. Usha Radke who emphasized the importance of updating the knowledge and skills in pediatric dentistry considering the increasing demands for aesthetics by parents. Dr. Mukul Jain,(Private practitioner of pediatric dentistry in Mumbai) inventor and owner of India’s first pediatric smart Zirconia, crowns enlightened the audience which included private practitioners, staff members, postgraduate students with a lecture and a hands-on the use of preformed Zirconia crowns in children. Dr. Gagandeep Lamba, Reader and a Ph.D. scholar shared her expertise on the practical application of Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in treatment and prevention dental caries in children. The program was well received and attended by over 55 delegates from Nagpur and the adjoining area.

The team of the department of pediatric dentistry Dr. Devendra Nagpal, (HOD pediatric and preventive dentistry VSPM DCRC, NGP), Dr. Purva Chaudhari (Associate prof.) Dr. Kavita Hotwani (Assistant prof.) Dr. Prabhat Yadav (Assistant Prof.) and Dr. Sargam Sorte (Assistant Prof.) PG students and interns worked hard for the success of the event.
