A virtual lecture “Avenues after MDS” was organized by the Interns Monitoring Committee for the interns dated 17th August 2020 at 10.30 am. The lecture commenced with the welcome and introduction of the speaker by Dr. Surekha Rathod. The speaker for the lecture was Dr.Pranjali Bawankar, Assistant Professor, Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, VSPM Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur. The virtual lecture was duly attended by 80 interns. The speaker rightfully threw light on different avenues after the MDS, career options and future perspectives of MDS. She not only motivated the interns but also guided them to choose the right career option after their graduation. She legitimately made the interns aware of the different choices of job availability for a BDS graduate and MDS postgraduate. The lecture was followed by a Question-Answer session in which the speaker satisfactorily answered and responded to the various questions and doubts raised by the interns regarding the career opportunities. Feedback for the lecture was also taken from the attendees through google forms.
