Since its inception in 1996, the college has strived to provide a favourable and ingenious oral healthcare environment, catering rural population with community-oriented curriculum and promotes learning with best educational practices and sound academics. Today, the institute is a postgraduate college with 100 BDS seats and 26 PG seats in 8 specialties, affiliated to MUHS, Nashik and recognized by the Dental Council of India. Along with this, PhD program and fellowship programs in Implantology and Esthetic Dentistry are offered.
Dentistry is a challenging as well as rewarding career choice. At RD DCRC, we provide comprehensive teaching as an amalgam of basic sciences, dental technology and clinical practice. The solar panelled campus houses all the facilities from ICT enabled classrooms, pre-clinical, clinical, hostels, canteen, library, residential facility and sports complex with 24*7 electricity backup to create an amiable environment for teaching, learning and patient care. In line with the green initiative, the campus has environment friendly initiatives like STP and ETP.
RD DCRC is one of the most sought-after colleges for UG and PG courses because of its location, dedicated faculty, well equipped clinics and the adaptive curriculum that incorporates the advancing technology. A plethora of hands-on experience with patients prepares our students for the challenges that lie ahead. The institute has kept up with changing facets in oral healthcare provision and dental education. Along with regular dental treatment, highly advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities are provided to serve the rural population as per demographic treatment needs. The college also provides extension services through satellite clinics and camps.
br> The HSET unit is the pride of the institute in terms of teaching and learning resources, one of the first established units in the state. Research and innovation form the core for academics and health care. The collaborative research and MoUs with medical, engineering, life sciences and other colleges near the campus and in the city provide a unique platform to the students.
The institute is in complete sync with the present era of digitisation and technology. We place emphasis on the overall personality development of the students with extracurricular cultural activities and sports in addition to clinical skills, academics and research. It is a privilege for me to jot a few lines as the Vice Dean of this very prestigious institute.
All these years our college has strived to be amongst the highest echelons of the institutes by promoting good practices be it in academics, clinical practice and administration. Our management led by the visionary chairman, Shri Ranjit babu Deshmukh encourages us to aim for the stars as a result of which staff and students excel in whatever they set out for. The clinical material and infrastructure also complement the efforts of the dedicated staff and the motivated students.
The college has been hosting innumerable conferences,professional continuing education courses, webinars etc. that have always helped to sharpen the skills of all involved, including the non teaching staff.
The college is in the campus that can boast of many environmentally friendly measures such as solar electricity generation, STP and ETP plants and latest fire fighting equipment. It is also differently abled friendly.
The efforts of the staff and students have seen consistent good university results and for this reason the college is well sought after for both under post graduate and PhD admissions.
