Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Center, Nagpur under the guidance of Dr. Pratima Shenoi, Professor and Head, organized continuing dental education (CDE) programme on 15th March 2024 on Mastering Class-II Composite Restorations Techniques for Success, accredited and approved by Maharashtra State Dental Council with 5 CDE points.

The purpose of the event was to improve the knowledge and clinical skills of the postgraduate students and intern doctors to provide better restorative care to the patients. The Guest speaker of the event was Dr. Snehal Sonarkar, an eminent endodontist practicing in Nagpur. This program intended to impart knowledge on implementing techniques for successful composite restorations in Class-II cavities in a step-by-step protocol. The lecture primarily focused on Conservative designs, importance of rubber dam isolation, dentin bonding, matrix systems for Class-II, stratification techniques and management of post-operative sensitivity. The lecture was followed by demonstration and hands-on on simplified and predictable techniques for obtaining excellent clinical outcomes with composites. The overall event attained great success with 31 registrations.
