A Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme and hands-on workshop was successfully conducted at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur on 13th August 2025 by an eminent speaker Dr. Neeraj Chandrakar, Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist, Raipur, Chhattisgarh on the topic ‘From Defect to Design: Clinical and Laboratory Workflow in Orbital Prosthesis Fabrication’ Dr. Neelam Pande, HOD, Dept. of Prosthodontics welcomed the delegates and Speaker. The CDE received huge response from postgraduate students in Prosthodontics from all over Vidarbha. Following the lecture, participants were guided through a detailed hands-on session where they had the opportunity to fabricate orbital prosthesis.
Installation Ceremony of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS), Nagpur Branch was conducted by Secretary IPS Nagpur Branch, Dr. Rajlakshmi Banerjee. Dr. Abhay Kolte, Dean, Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur presided over as the Chief Guest of the program and Dr. S.R Shenoi, Vice Dean and Dr. Mukta Motwani Vice Dean Clinical, RDDC & RC were the Guests of Honour. The newly installed team of office bearers for IPS Nagpur branch, Immediate Past President- Dr. Aparna Barabde, President- Dr. Sattyam Wankhade, President Elect- Dr. Saee Deshmukh, Secretary- Dr. Rajlakshmi Banerjee, Joint Secretary- Dr. Mohsin Quazi, Treasurer- Dr. Vinay Kothari, Editor- Dr. Priti Jaiswal, Co Editor- Dr. Anushree Bhoge, EC members- Dr. Swati Kharat, Dr. Brajesh Dammani, Dr. Shraddha Sahni, Dr. Rahul Tekale, Dr. Samidha Pande and Dr. Jyoti Sharma were congratulated by all. The IPS regional branch awards for 2024-25 were awarded on the occasion. The Prostho Star-Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Prostho Wizard-Dr. Mohsin Quazi, Prostho Maestro- Dr. Priti Jaiswal and Exceptional Prostho Clinician – Dr. Anand Raj were appreciated for their achievement.
