Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, VSPMs Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre,Nagpur has been conducting Advanced Endodontic Workshop since 9 years including special focus on microscopic endodontics for postgraduate students and clinicians. This year, the 10th Advanced endodontic workshop was conducted on 5th to 7th March 2025. Dr.Vivek Hegde, adjunct faculty of this workshop is Professor and Head, Department of Endodontics, M.A. Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune, an eminent personality and international speaker in the field of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.He is Director of White Arch Dental Academy, Pune and popular online Dental Portal One Dental.
The three-day workshop include basics of advanced endodontics using dental operating microscope for performing various surgical and non-surgical procedures. All the participants were trained for locating accessory canals, retreatment procedures that would help them attain predictable outcome of endodontic treatment.
It is of prime importance for enhancing the survivability of natural tooth in function. Till date, more than 75 clinicians have been trained under the guidance of the Dr. Hegde. He focussed on the importance of microscope in detecting caries and in treatment by enhancing visualisation and magnification. Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, VSPMs Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre is well equipped and forefront in training for advanced treatment procedures using Dental Operating microscope for Restorative and endodontic procedures.
