The Antiragging committee of the Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College & Research centre, Nagpur observed Antiragging day on 12-08-2025 and Antiragging Week from 12-08-2025 to 18-08-2025. as per the UGC circular: D.O.No.F.1-74/2016 (ARC) dated 22-07-2025. As a part of the event, the following activities were organized.

1. The Antiragging day was observed on 12-8-25. A formal inauguration followed by a sensitization lecture was organized for the students on prevention of ragging by our Dean, Dr.Abhay Kolte and Dr.K.Venugopal Reddy, Member secretary, Antiragging committee of the institution.

2. The Antiragging videos downloaded from UGC website were displayed at the reception area of the institution throughout the week to make the students aware about the various aspects of ragging and its prevention.

3. Various competitions like Slogan and Logo designing, were organized for the students to create awareness about Ragging and its consequences throughout the Antiragging week.

Logo designing competition was organized on 14-8-2025. A total of 21students participated in the competition. Ms.Mahi Uke from 2nd BDS won the first prize and Ms.Netal Sabu from 1st BDS won the second prize All the participants were given participation certificates

Slogan competition was organized on 16-8-2025. A total of 54 students took part in the competition. Ms. Poonam Pande from interns category and Ms.Aarya Zalke from students category won the first prize. All the participants were given participation certificates.

All the committee members Dr.Venugopal reddy, Dr.Jaya Joshi, Dr.Neena Dongre and Dr.Jaishree Chahande contributed under the guidance of Dean Dr.Abhay Kolte and Vice-Dean, Dr.Ramakrishna Shenoi and Dr.Mukta Motwani (Vice-Dean, Clinical) in the smooth conduction of the event.
