An Online Orientation Program for the 2020 batch of first BDS students was recently organized on 11 feb 2021 at VSPM Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur. The program was telecasted on facebook live.

Dr.Alka Dive Professor and Head of Deparment, of Oral Pathology and Chairperson of undergraduate cell gave the welcome address. Dean Dr. Usha Radke motivated the students to gain knowledge, develop leadership qualities and bring a positive change. Vice Dean Dr S.R Shenoi talked about the various upcoming opportunities in dentistry and directed the students to work hard to provide quality services to their patients.

Dr.Anita Kahar Lecturer Dept of Prosthodontics explained the “Safety rules of the pandameic situation”, and Dr Neena Dongre Lecturer Dept of Oral pathology spoke about “Curriculum of BDS”. Academic toppers were felicitated. The students expressed their views and experiences of college life.Winners of “Selfie in Handmade Mask” competition and Slogan for “Covid Safety- SMS (Sanitization Mask Social distancing)” competition were declared during the program.
Oath ceremony was conducted in which Dean Dr. Usha Radke conferred the oath of medicine to students. Dr. Neelam Pande Professor in Dept of Prosthodontics and Chairperson Mentor cell, and Dr Varsha Uttarwar Lecturer in Dept of Conservative Dentistry Member Secretary mentor cell introduced the mentor cell ‘Saarthi’.
Dr. Jayshree Joshi conducted the program. Dr. Vidya Mokhade, proposed a vote of thanks. A large number of parents with their wards attended the program. Dr Purva Chaudhari, Dr Sangita Bhattacharya and Mr Himanshu Subramanium worked hard for the success of the program.
