The webinar on Gender inequalities in global health was conducted by Gender Equity and Anti-Harrasment Committee on 26/08/2021. The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Padmini Murthy. Miss. Shalakha Bodhankar, student member of GEAHC, was the master of the ceremony and the event commenced with the welcome of the dignitaries. Dr. Chetana Makade, chairperson GHC, delivered the welcome address which was followed by speech by Vice-Dean. Dr. S R Shenoi, Dean Dr. Usha Radke. Dr. Pratima Shenoi was the moderator of webinar. She introduced the guest speaker Dr. Padmini Murthy who was an international faculty speaker from New York.

The speaker highlighted balancing leadership amongst the genders & economic inequalities, issues affecting women during COVID, solutions to gender inequalities in academic medicine. The lecture received overwhelming response from viewers from Facebook which included the faculty members, non-teaching staff, interns and Post graduate students. The lecture concluded with a question answer session and the e-certificates were presented to the speaker and the moderator at the end of the session. The session was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Jaya Joshi.
