On the occasion of celebrating 25 glorious years of RanjeetDeshmukh Dental College and Research Center, Nagpur, Department of conservative dentistry and endodonticsinaugurated the first of its kind hard tissue Laser unit inVidarbha Maharashtraby the hands of Honorable. MrsRupataiDeshmukh, Dr.UshaRadke (Dean) and Dr.Ramakrishna Shenoi(Vice Dean) on 02/01/2023. Use of hard tissue Lasers enables refined and conservative way of tooth cutting,effective tooth preparations, painlessand quicker dental procedures, tooth whitening and blood-free minimally invasive solution to the patient’s dental problems. Dr.VidhyaHariIyer (Renowned Dentist and Masters of Lasers) Guest faculty, while explaining the intricacies of laser dentistry stated that the laser beam is like a “Magic Wand” to provide painless removal of decay, root canal treatment, bleaching and cavity fillings in compromised or apprehensive patients who cannot be administered local anesthesia. 50 doctors were trained in the institute by Dr.VidhyaHariIyer. This state of art facility at affordable rates is now accessible to the patients at RD DCRC which was formerly known as VSPM’s DCRC. The entire event was successfully conducted under the able guidance of Head of the Department Dr.Pratima Shenoi and her dedicated team.
