On 6th June 2024, the student council hosted a Shivrajya Abhishek ceremony to honor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation. The event held in the college library, featured speeches by first-year students and an address by the dean. The first-year students delivered speeches that highlighted Shivaji Maharaj’s military and administrative prowess, his vision of Swaraj (self-rule), and his progressive policies, including fair treatment of women and promotion of the Marathi language. The dean’s address was a reflective and insightful recounting of Shivaji Maharaj’s rise to power, his visionary leadership, and his strategic acumen encouraging students to draw inspiration from Shivaji Maharaj’s life and to embody his values of bravery, integrity, and dedication in their own lives and future careers. The event concluded with a collective commitment from students and faculty alike to uphold the values exemplified by Shivaji Maharaj in their academic and personal pursuits.
