On 1 st October 2022, “The International Day of Elder Persons” was celebrated by the
Department of Prosthodontics, VSPM’s Dental College & Research Centre, Nagpur. On this
occasion the awareness lectures were taken by Dr. Anuj Chandak on the topic: “Different
treatment options in Prosthodontics for missing teeth” and by Dr. Akhil Rathi on the topic:
“Maintenance of Oral Health in Geriatric Patients”. Dr. Neelam Pande discussed about “The
importance of elder persons and their health” with all the geriatric patients.
Slogan competition for all Interns on the topic: “Educational & awareness programs
for general public in relation to Prosthodontics” was also conducted by Dr. Jaishree
Chahande in which around 27 interns took part.
The program was attended by all the staff members, PG students, interns, undergraduate
students and patients of the department of Prosthodontics.
Dean and HOD, Dr. Usha Radke addressed the gathering and appreciate the efforts taken by
faculties and students for successful conduction of program. The event was concluded with
great enthusiasm by all the participants by cake cutting and refreshments.
