World No Tobacco Day 2024
On May 31st 2024, in observance of World No Tobacco Day, the Student Council organized a rally within the campus to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use and to promote a healthier, tobacco-free lifestyle. The event commenced with an inspiring opening address by the Dean of the college, highlighting the severe health risks associated with tobacco consumption, underscored the importance of quitting smoking, and called upon healthcare professionals to lead by example in advocating for a tobacco-free society. Following the Dean’s address, the rally began within the campus grounds. Participants, including students, faculty, and staff marched through the college premises holding banners and placards with messages about the hazards of tobacco use and the benefits of cessation. The rally’s chants and slogans, promoting tobacco cessation, resonated throughout the campus, drawing attention and engaging the college community in the cause. The event concluded with a brief closing ceremony on the campus, where participants shared their experiences and discussed plans for future initiatives to continue the anti-tobacco campaign. The rally was a significant step in spreading the message of World No Tobacco Day and demonstrated the commitment of Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre to public health and wellness.
