Admission 2024-25The department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics organized a CME “workshop on surgical Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgeries.” on 24th February 2016. Renowned Orthodontist and Craniomaxillofacial surgeon Dr. Sherry Peter BDS, MDS Orthodontics (A.B. Shetty Dental college), MBBS, FRCS RCS (Edinburgh) was the guest speaker on this occasion. The program received an overwhelming response. It was attended by eminent Orthodontists, practicing Oral surgeons and nearly 50 post graduate students from various parts of Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and M.P.
The program started at 9:00 am. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon. Secretary Dr. Amol Deshmukh, Dean Dr. Usha Radke and Vice Dean Dr. S.R. Shenoi, who occupied their seats on the dias along with Dr. Usha Shenoy HOD department of Orthodontics and Dr. Sherry Peter. The occasion was graced by several invitees such as Dr. Ashok Karia, Dr. Pushpa Hazarey, Dr. Wasundhara Bhad, Dr. Rashmi Jawadekar, Dr. Santosh Chauhan, Dr. Nitin Bhola and Dr. Shashwat Magarkar.
Dr. Amol Deshmukh addressed the august gathering and congratulated the HOD, dept of Orthodontics for planning and conducting such a wonderful program. Dean Dr. Radke congratulated the team of Orthodontics department on this occasion and wished them the best for the future. Vice-dean Dr. S.R.Shenoi hailed it as a noble initiative.
Dr. Peter a multifaceted personality enthralled the audience with his lecture on presurgical Orthodontics and Orthognathic surgeries. Both Oral surgeons and Orthodontists were equally awed by the plethora of surgical cases shown by Dr. Peter. It was an interactive session and Dr. Peter obliged the audience by entertaining all the queries and questions that the audience asked.
