Admission 2024-25The department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics organized a CDE “Pre-surgical planning for Orthognathic Surgeries.” on 28th and 29th August 2017. Renowned Orthodontist and Craniomaxillofacial surgeon Dr. Sherry Peter BDS, MDS Orthodontics (A.B. Shetty Dental college), MBBS, FRCS RCS (Edinburgh) was the guest speaker on this occasion. The program received an overwhelming response. It was attended by eminent Orthodontists, practicing Oral surgeons and nearly 67 post graduate students from various parts of central India.
Dr. Peter mesmerized the audience with his lecture on presurgical planning for Orthognathic surgeries. The plethora of surgical cases shown by Dr. Peter helped surgeons as well as Orthodontists understand the concepts of pre- surgical planning. The lecture was followed by a demonstration of facebow transfer, mounting and mock surgery.
