World Oral Health Day is observed annually on 20 March, dedicated to raising global awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene. On this occasion, World Oral Health week was celebrated the theme of 2018 “THINK MOUTH THINK HEALTH.” Various events, starting from 20 march till 24 march 2018 were conducted which included screening camp for oral health, motivational lectures, and awareness rallies for public spaces
A screening camp for children of Balsadan Orphanage and Paranjpe High school , Dharampeth Nagpur was conducted with the moto of creating awareness regarding importance oral health. Motivational lecture regarding “oral health awareness and tobacco cessation need” was conducted at Raisoni’s college of Engineering, Hingna road, Nagpur, by the experts of de-additicion program Garjana
“Early childhood education” is the key to the betterment of society, so to emphasize the importance of oral health care interactive sessions were conducted at Mother’s pet kindergarten of Centre point school, Katol road, Nagpur. Children were explained the need of oral health care and various good oral habits were discussed by the pedodontists. Highlight of the session was egg shell experiments to show ill effects of aerated cold-drinks on the teeth. Children enjoyed the overall session.
Masses are the strength of the society educating them leads to betterment of the country, thus public awarness rally was organized regarding oral health awareness and its importance for overall health.
