The institute has taken an informal language & communication skill development initiative for the first-year students who are freshly admitted in college. The first-year students are informed about the program in the institute so that they can avail of the benefit of the facility for improving their skills. This guidance is useful to students who have had their schooling in regional languages as the curriculum is in the English language and are not comfortable while communicating in the English language. Any of the students who need help regarding the same are guided accordingly by the faculty appointed for the same Dr. Varsha Uttarwar & Dr. Neena Dongre.

The students can take guidance from the above staff anytime according to their convenience. Students are encouraged to communicate in the English language with their peers, colleagues & the staff so as to boost their confidence levels. This is necessary as they have to face their viva-voce during university and internal assessment practical exams, where marks are also allotted for communication skills.

Students are advised to use the dictionaries available in the library for translation from Marathi & Hindi languages to English. Students are also informed about the various mobile apps available online which can be used for the development of language & communication skills. Students are motivated to participate and carry out presentations at various college level, local, state and national scientific events to emphasize the need for proper communication skills. This skill is also discussed during orientation programs and mentor-mentee interactions. A number of students have benefitted from this initiative undertaken by the institution.
