About
Dr. Abhay Kolte has done his B.D.S. in 1991 and M.D.S. in 1996 from the esteemed Government Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur. Currently working as a Dean, Professor, Post graduate teacher, Ph.D. Supervisor& Head of Department of Periodontology and Implantology at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur. Additionally, he has also done his PGDHHM (Post graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Care Management) from the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
Dr. Abhay Kolte has more than 27 years of teaching experience. He has been invited as Keynote Speaker at various International and National conferences. He has more than 160 publications inInternational, National and State level journals of repute. He has chaired Scientific Sessions in Speciality and Other Dental conferences.
He has been actively involved in organising events at the National level wherein he was the Treasurer of 22nd National Conference of Indian Society of Periodontology at Nagpur in 1998, Organising Secretary of the 62nd National Indian Dental Conference at Nagpur in 2009, Organising Chairman of the 41st National Conference of Indian Society of Periodontology at Nagpur in 2016, Co-Chairman of the National Indian Society of Oral Implantology at Nagpur in 2023. He has also shouldered the responsibilities of Hon. Secretary of Indian Dental Association, Nagpur Branch in 2004-2006, President of Indian Dental Association, Nagpur Branch in 2008-2009, Secretary of Indian Society of Periodontology Head Office from 2016-2019, President of Indian Dental Association Maharashtra State Branch 2017-2018. He has also been an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Dental Association Maharashtra State Branch since 2000 till date, Executive Committee Member of the Indian Society of Periodontology since 1997 till date and Central Council Member Indian Dental Association Head Office since 2006.
He has worked as Member Board of Clinical Studies of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik 2008 to 2013and 2018 to 2023. He has worked on various sub committees at the MUHS, Nashik. He is also Member of Board of studies at the Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education (Deemed to be University).

He is Reviewer of professionally acclaimed National and International journals including Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology, International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, BMC Oral Health, Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Clinical Advances in Periodontics, Saudi Dental Journal, Journal of Periodontology, International Journal of Dental Hygiene, Acta OdontologicaScandanivica, Journal of International Clinical Dental Research Organisation, Dental Research Journal, Dental and Medical Problems etc.
He is a successful clinician having private practice for more than 25 years that certify his passion for clinical work. He is an excellent administrator and motivator for teaching, non-teaching staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students. He is a passionate academician and a person who works persistently for the overall development of Institute.
