Departmental activity webinar 1/6/2020 Dr Gupte Program Report

On occasion of world no tobacco day, a webinar was organized by Department of Oral
Medicine and Radiology, VSPMDCRC on 1 st June 2020. The invited speaker for the event was
Dr Himanshu Gupte (MBBS, MD, DPH). He is working as Project Lead for ‘NO TOBACCO’ initiative
at Salam Bombay Foundation in collaboration with Narotam Sekharia Foundation. He
discussed about ‘tobacco use during COVID 19’ and various ways to deal with patients for
deaddiction. He also emphasized on maintaining recall and importance of methods of
counselling during patient’s initial visits. This online event was attended by more than 70
participants across India and was made successful by active interaction with the eminent
speaker.
